Jeff Walcoff, Staff Writer

12.12.2007

Seven Browns players, including six starters, sat out practice Wednesday in preparation for Sunday's pivotal game against Buffalo.

Receiver Joe Jurevicius (knee), linebacker Willie McGinest (hip), defensive lineman Orpheus Roye (knee), right tackle Kevin Shaffer (knee), defensive lineman Robaire Smith (back), fullback Lawrence Vickers (flu) and linebacker Antwan Peek (ankle) missed practice.

"Hopefully we can get everybody to the game on Sunday," head coach Romeo Crennel said Wednesday. "They all try to get there on Sunday and for the most part they make it, but it's always day-to-day."

For the Bills, defensive ends Bryan Copeland (knee) and Ryan Denney (foot), as well as safety George Wilson (ribs), missed practice.
