Born a Browns fan

Steve King, Staff Writer

08.28.2008

Everybody who follows the Browns has a story about their earliest remembrances of the team - that is, the day they became a fan.

Kayla Frances Dyer will be an exception to that rule, however. There's no way she'll ever recall when she officially turned into a Browns fan. It's impossible. Medical science - Mother Nature - says so.

Kayla earned her brown and orange stripes not when she was 4 or 5, but rather just hours after she came into this world. Her grandfather, William Dyer of Medina, OH signed her up for the Browns Kids Club, making her an official fan, the very day she was born, this past Aug. 18.

Kayla is the eighth grandchild that Dyer has signed up, while Kayla's older sisters are also Kids Club members.

There's no minimum age requirement for the Kids Club, just as is there is no minimum age requirement to be a Browns fan.

Just ask Kayla Frances Dyer.

But wait a few years to do it.
