Smith suffers Achilles injury

The Browns lost Robaire Smith to an Achilles injury in the second half of Sunday night's loss to the Steelers.
Browns Coach Romeo Crennel said he's not yet sure of the severity of the injury, which was first thought to be an ankle injury. Smith left the locker room Sunday night in a protective boot.
"He's not in the best of shape," Crennel said. "For a big man an Achilles is a tough thing to deal with. We'll see how severe it is and make some decisions from there."
Crennel said the Browns otherwise had some "bumps and bruises" from a "tough, physical game."
He said Joshua Cribbs strained his hamstring on a fourth quarter punt return but could have returned to the game. Kris Griffin left the game with a calf injury and didn't return.
There was no news on the status of Donte' Stallworth, who's missed the first two games with a quad injury.
"We'll find out Wednesday what Donte' can do," Crennel said. "As soon as he's ready he'll be back out there. But I'll know more Wednesday where he is and whether he'll be ready for the next game or not."
